Introducing Course Conditions!
Greetings, Ultimate Golfers! We're excited to announce a brand new feature that promises to bring your UG experience to a whole new level... introducing Course Conditions!
Picture this: you're the first group to tee off in the morning and the greens are still dew-covered. How is that going to affect your game? Imagine it poured all night but now the sun is shining bright... or perhaps the winds have been blowing hard all day and you have a twilight tee time. Any golfer will tell you that these conditions affect everything — from club selection to drive distance to putting, and everything in between.
Now, we're taking those real-world scenarios (and many more!) and bringing them to Ultimate Golf!
On each tournament info page, you will now see Course Conditions, followed by EASY, MEDIUM, HARD, or TOURNAMENT. Here's what that means:
Easy - the greens are nice and soft, allowing you to control your approach shots with more precision for those sweet Tie Breaker Points. The rough will be cut low, making it easier to get your ball out, and the fairways will roll true.
Medium/Hard - the greens will be firmer, the rough deeper, and the fairways not as forgiving. The conditions will be tuned for specific events — just like a PGA TOUR course!
Tournament - these conditions can change! You might find greens that stick like velcro or slide like a skating rink, rough that bounces like concrete or swallows your ball whole — it all depends. Better hope the greenskeeper is in a good mood!
